Au gratin potatoes-way light on cheese, more of a cream sauce with thin slices of fennel. So bomb, and a great way to introduce a lot of that fennel flavor in a classic dish. It is heavy though, sort of a late autumn dish. Give it a shot!

It is a mushroom! (Well spotted, hon!) It’s scientific name is Sarcodon squamosus, but it’s commonly known as Scaly Tooth. Sorta similar to Hedgehog mushrooms, but not as nice to eat.
