Possets Perfumes: Valentines
I nabbed a bottle of these two perfumes from the Valentines lineup at Possets just before bed yesterday. (The St. George is a V-d gift for Italics whose patron saint is St. George (I’m the serpent/dragon - NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE HAVE AN INTERESTING RELATIONSHIP), the Cri de Coeur is a Haitian-themed gift to myself (IT’S OKAY BECAUSE IT’S A /CHARITY/ PURCHASE!).)
Riding St. George
This is a naughty name for some form of connubial bliss. So, I am offering it up to you on St. Valentine’s Day. A very nice bit of leather bounces off a bouquet of black vanilla, iris, and a chypre which I made especially for this blend as a “compound” to this blend. Riding St. George is unisex and I do believe that the gentlemen will like it’s audacity coupled with very good breeding. Dashing in other words. If you are a woman, you might like to try taking a pretty riding crop to bed with you to make a point or two during the evening. All around, this is very nice stuff, even if you choose to wear it to church on Sunday (and I don’t think that is a waste because you never know what kind of discovery you will make in church).
Cri de Coeur (Cry of the Heart)
The fragrance is a real stunner, a true Posset with large lashings of Vanilla, nougat, coconut, sweet musk, tobacco flower, swirling cotton, a drop of nag champa, and some very good chypre, black musk and sugar cane. There is the essence of a very good dragon’s blood in it, a small amount of lime, and lime blossom. Simple. Very sweet without being totally foody, long lasting and strong. This one isn’t any toss away scent, it’s a great one. So, your contribution to MSF will make you happy in more ways than one.
