(ghoulnextdoor says) Here it is, sans title (I think the ebay seller just made it up!), with some interesting notes in the comment section from the source that the blogger got the image from…“We just wanted to leave a quick, but hopefully informative, message about the Dulac illustration sourced from our website. Our understanding is that is not drawn from a fairy-tale as attributed, but rather, is an attempt to represent Belgium anamorphically in the context of the conflict that engulfed the country during World War I … this bring a new and interesting perspective to an illustration that is already wonderfully powerful.”
If you go to the commenter’s site (spirit of the ages), you get much better info; it is Dulac and it is a contribution to ”King Albert’s Book” (1914)

TITLE: Fire Fairy (<- Really? Because I’m not getting a positive ID at all, and I’ve spent 30+ minutes thumbing through various Dulac galleries. In fact, I have the sneaking suspicion that G. Roper’s “Witch’s Brew” isn’t the image’s real name, either.)
ARTIST: Edmund Dulac
AGE: 1915 (“THIS PRINT IS OVER 90 YEARS OLD!”)
CONDITION: The colors are bright with image in excellent overall condition. Some light age toning within margins.
Up until a few days ago I had never seen this Dulac, but the second I saw it - and it’s age - I knew I had to have it. (INTENSE? Check! POWERFUL? Check! FIERCE? Check! AWESOMELY INTIMIDATING NAKED WOMAN? Check!)

You are a-fucking-mazing, Ms. Ghoul. Seriously. I spent near thirty fucking minutes thumbing through every single effing picture of several different on-line galleries with absolutely no result. (It didn’t *look* like a fairytale image, and now, knowing what I know thanks to you, I find the painting very reminiscent of images I’ve seen of Britannia personified as a woman.) I eventually had to give up my search to get my day started, so I’m exceptionally grateful that you took time out of YOUR day to help me out. (I’m totally sending your ass some Happy Hippos. For serious. You deserve it, <3!)
